Shortly before a criminal assassination was to be carried out – an explosive device was thwarted in the Kiryatim area. Over the weekend, police officers and detectives from the Zevulun and Kiryat Ata stations conducted an operation to seize weapons being transferred to criminal elements for illegal purposes. They discovered an explosive device hidden in an open area in the Kiryatim region, which was ready for use, presumably shortly before a criminal assassination was to be carried out. The investigation is ongoing and arrests are expected.
