The examiners’ unit of the Galilee district opened an extensive investigation into the incident and managed to trace the identity of a suspect, an 18-year-old resident of Bir al-Maksur who had never obtained a driver’s license. The investigation revealed that on the day of the incident, the suspect drove a T-Max scooter, entered a playground, drove inside it in a life-threatening manner, and hit children while they were playing in the park. He then fled the scene and hid the vehicle in a relative’s structure, far from his home. When the investigation became public, forces raided the suspect’s home and arrested him along with another family member suspected of assisting him. During the search, live ammunition and suspected drugs were seized.
