Georgian Citizen in Israel Using False Passport Arrested

A Georgian citizen was arrested in Lod, Israel, for using a fake passport and identity after re-entering the country following a previous removal.

Jerusalem, 25 February, 2026 (TPS-IL) — In an enforcement activity carried out yesterday by the Enforcement and Foreigners Administration of the Central Region and Jerusalem, a Georgian citizen was detained in the city of Lod after an impersonator of an Israeli citizen was found using a false name and a fake passport.

An investigation revealed that the Georgian infiltrated Israel in 2023, was removed from the country in April 2025, and re-entered Israel using a false identity once again last May.
