During the inspection, officers were forced to smash the vehicle’s window in order to gain control of the suspect driver and safely complete the arrest. A search of his vehicle revealed a side bag containing a loaded FN pistol with a magazine. The suspect, a resident of Rehovot in his 40s, was arrested and transferred for investigation at the Ramla station. In accordance with the investigation findings, his detention was extended.
