Today, an indictment was filed against two residents of Modi’in in their 20s. The investigation was opened following the throwing of a fragmentation grenade at a residential building in Rishon LeZion on 26.7.14. According to the situation assessment, a joint investigation team from the Shapla District Crime Unit and the Rishon LeZion station was established, with the aim of locating those involved and bringing them to justice. On 26.7.22, as part of a focused operational activity, detectives from the Shapla District Crime Unit, along with Shapla Special Patrol Unit fighters, managed to locate and arrest two suspects, residents of Modi’in in their 20s, minutes after they allegedly threw a stun grenade at a residential building in Ramat Gan. The investigation of the two and the evidence collected led to the formation of an evidentiary basis connecting them also to the throwing of the fragmentation grenade in Rishon LeZion, as well as to the arson of a “Razer” all-terrain vehicle in Netanya the day before, on 26.7.21. Today, upon completion of the investigation, the Central District Attorney’s Office filed an indictment against the two for the three incidents.
