Attempted attack in Lod – Central District police officers neutralized an attacker who allegedly attempted to stab a Yasam fighter shortly ago. A patrol car from the Lod station identified a suspect holding a knife and called for him to stop.

The suspect began running towards a team of Yasam (Special Patrol Unit) fighters who were operating in the area, and is suspected of attempting to stab one of the fighters. The fighter opened fire at the assailant and neutralized him. There are no casualties among our forces. Large forces from the Central District are at the scene, securing the area and collecting evidence. The Commander of the Central District, Superintendent Amir Cohen, is on his way to the scene.
