According to suspicion, the suspects, using advanced technological equipment, forged identity cards, driver’s licenses, checks, and official documents of the State of Israel. This forged documentation was provided to anyone who requested it for a fee. Thus, many Palestinians managed to enter Israel illegally, some of whom were ‘entry-restricted’ for security reasons. Early this morning, during a raid by forces from the Hebron station along with Border Police fighters from the Judea Brigade of the IDF, five suspects, residents of the city of Yatta, were arrested. During a search conducted by the forces in their homes, many findings were located and seized, some of them hidden in the wall of a structure, under rocks, and inside mattresses. Among the forged documents seized during the operation: identity cards, Rav-Kav cards, credit cards, checks, driver’s licenses, court protocols, and more. In addition, manufacturing machines and equipment for the production and forgery of documents, telephones and laptops, airsoft pistols, a large amount of cash, and a luxury vehicle belonging to the main suspect were seized. The investigation is ongoing.
