A resident of the Negev was arrested on suspicion of being in contact with a foreign agent and planning an attack at the “Forum” club in Be’er Sheva, as part of a joint investigation by the Southern District Central Unit and the Shin Bet.

It also emerged that he had made contact with individuals online, including one who presented himself as a Palestinian terrorist operative. In addition, the investigation revealed that the suspect had carried out actions intended to prepare explosives and manufacture an explosive device, as part of the preparations for carrying out an attack at the “Forum” club in Be’er Sheva using a booby-trapped vehicle. At the conclusion of the investigation, an indictment was filed this morning against the suspect for security offenses, as well as offenses of unlawful possession of weapons and ammunition.
