Jerusalem, 30 october, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Israel’s Central Bureau of Statistics released the Labor Force Survey data for September 2025 (compared to August 2025, among those aged 15 and over):
Percentage of the labor force – 62.7% (62.3% in August).
Employment rate (percentage of employed people out of the total population) – 60.8% (60.5% in August).
Percentage of unemployed in the labor force – 3.0% (2.9% in August).

In September 2025 (compared to August 2025, among those aged 15 and over):
Percentage of the labor force – 62.9% (62.5% in August).
Employment rate (percentage of employed people out of the total population) – 61.0% (60.6% in August).
Percentage of unemployed in the labor force – 3% (unchanged from August).
Employment rate excluding those temporarily absent from work all week for economic reasons – 60.8% (60.4% in August).
Percentage of those temporarily absent from work all week by selected reasons: economic reasons – 5.6% (2.5% in August), military reserve duty – 11.7% (5.0% in August), other – 0.2% (0.5% in August).
Percentage of men temporarily absent from work all week by selected reasons: economic reasons – 6.6% (4.3% in August), military reserve duty – 22.3% (15.3% in August), other – 0.5% (0.9% in August).
Percentage of women temporarily absent from work all week by selected reasons: economic reasons – 4.7% (1.7% in August), military reserve duty – 1.6% (0.5% in August), other – none (0.3% in August).
