Police in the Judea and Samaria District are investigating an incident of stone-throwing and shooting involving Israeli and Palestinian civilians near Sa’ir. Towards noon, a report was received regarding a group of Israeli hikers.

Following the stone-throwing, the security coordinator of a nearby settlement was called to the scene. He initially fired warning shots into the air, and subsequently fired at several Palestinian rioters. Two shooting casualties were evacuated from the scene, and later, one of them was pronounced dead. Subsequently, a report was received about a structure fire nearby, as a result of which a Palestinian was injured by smoke inhalation. Forces from the Judea region arrived at the scene and began investigating the incident, collecting testimonies, gathering evidence, and conducting an initial inquiry of those involved.
