Ministry of Health warns of severe flu season in Israel as six-year-old child dies from flu complications. Get vaccinated now to reduce risk.

Breaking News

The Ministry of Health emphasizes that in Israel, as in other countries, this year’s flu season began early, and flu cases are rising sharply. Based on global data, a severe flu season is expected.

The Ministry of Health also stresses that although the flu vaccine does not completely prevent infection, in most cases it reduces the severity of illness and significantly lowers the risk of serious complications or death.

The Ministry again urges the public to get vaccinated against the flu. The vaccine is safe and recommended for everyone six months and older.

The vaccine is available at no cost through the HMOs.
