Recall of Frozen Norwegian Salmon Fillet

Israeli Health Bureau discovers mislabeled frozen Norwegian salmon fillet. Consumers urged to contact manufacturer for more information.

In a laboratory test conducted by the Food Service of the Central Health Bureau, it was found that two products — Norwegian skinless frozen salmon fillet, packaging date January 6, 2025 only, barcode 7290005816109,
and Norwegian frozen salmon fillet, packaging date December 14, 2024 only, barcode 7290003424252 —
showed a discrepancy between the labeling as Atlantic salmon of the *Salar* species and their actual composition as coho salmon (*Oncorhynchus* species).

  • Product name: Norwegian frozen salmon fillet with/without skin, vacuum packed
  • Brand: Chirne  Content: sold by weight
  • Manufacturer: Smoke Fish
  • Skinless Norwegian salmon fillet — Production code: 9.24, packaging date: January 6, 2025 only, use by August 31, 2026
  • Norwegian salmon fillet — Production code: 9.24, packaging date: December 14, 2024 only, use by August 31, 2026

The products are safe to eat; however, the labeling does not match the actual contents.
Consumers who have these products can contact the manufacturer at 1700-701-711.

In coordination with the Food Service of the Central Health Bureau, Smoke Fish is collecting the products from retail locations.
