Jerusalem, 24 November, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Israeli agriculture inspectors uncovered more than 150 unvaccinated dogs during a raid on a well-known animal farm near the coastal town of Atlit on Monday, amid suspicions of alleged smuggling from the Palestinian Authority and the spread of rabies.

Inspectors also found goats, cows, sheep and pigs kept without required registration, and immediately barred the site from bringing in or removing animals. The farm owner, two staff members, a private veterinarian and another suspect were detained, with three arrested after allegedly assaulting police.

The case follows a recent incident in which the farm allegedly transferred a rabid puppy to foster care, forcing 18 people to undergo preventive treatment.
