Jerusalem, 13 May, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Israeli cybersecurity firm Orca Security has acquired fellow Israeli startup Opus, which specializes in agentic AI for automating cloud security. The deal allows Orca to move beyond identifying and prioritizing risks to automatically fixing and preventing them. It makes Orca the first Cloud-Native Application Protection Platform (CNAPP) to offer this level of AI-driven defense.

Opus was founded by Meny Har and Or Gabay, part of the original team at Israeli company Siemplify. With their expertise, Orca aims to improve real-time response, reduce manual work, and enhance security at scale. CEO Gil Geron called the move a major step toward smarter, automated protection.
