Gil TanenbaumBreaking News

Jerusalem, 30 July, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Israel’s Ministry of Education published a “first-of-its-kind in-depth” investigative report on its conduct during the Iron Swords War in Gaza, which says the country’s education system has functioned successfully.

The review included a survey with the participation of over 2,200 education professionals – teachers, principals, supervisors and authority employees – alongside cross-functional staff work and professional processing of hundreds of insights gathered in the field. The report examines the sequence of actions taken by the ministry since the outbreak of the war, assesses their impact, identifies systemic gaps, and presents a series of practical recommendations for advanced emergency preparedness.

The report states that Israel’s education system “met its national mission of maintaining an educational routine even during times of war.” The report presents a series of measures that were “successfully implemented alongside systemic gaps in information, infrastructure, and pedagogical preparedness for emergencies.”
