Jerusalem, 26 August, 2025 (TPS-IL) — A Jerusalem resident was recently arrested on suspicion of spray-painting an inscription at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in the Old City of Jerusalem. He was arrested after a report was received at the police hotline about a suspicious person who was wandering around the entrances to the Old City in Jerusalem and fled towards the Old City.

The graffiti spray painted inside the church read “There is a Holocaust in Gaza.”

Police located the suspect near the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in the Old City, and a paint can was seized in his possession.

The investigation into the case revealed that just two weeks ago, the suspect sprayed similar graffiti on the Western Wall and other locations, was arrested by the police and released in court under restrictive conditions.
