Jerusalem, 11 November, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Israel-based Kaltura, a leading AI Video Experience Cloud provider, has signed a definitive agreement to acquire eSelf.ai, an Israel-founded startup specializing in AI-powered photorealistic avatars. The acquisition will integrate eSelf.ai’s multimodal avatar technology into Kaltura’s platform, enabling immersive, real-time virtual agents for customer, employee, and educational experiences.

The deal, valued at approximately $27 million including cash, stock, and performance-based payments, is expected to close in Q4 2025.

Founded in 2023 by Dr. Alan Bekker and Eylon Shoshan, eSelf.ai supports over 30 languages and was recognized by FastCompany as one of the “Next Big Things in Tech” in 2025. Kaltura plans to use the technology across its Genies products and in video-on-demand tools, expanding self-serve AI offerings for enterprises and small businesses alike.
