Jerusalem, 11 August, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) announced that Israel’s national communications satellite, “Dror 1,” successfully reached its designated orbit at 36,000 km and begun operations. Launched on July 13, 2025, aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 from Cape Canaveral, the satellite confirmed deployment of solar panels, antennas, and precise positioning via telemetry.

Boaz Levy, IAI’s President and CEO, hailed the milestone as a key step toward Israel’s space independence, highlighting ‘Dror 1’ as an advanced, Israeli-developed satellite designed to provide secure, reliable communications for years to come.
