Jerusalem, 15 October, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Emily Damari, who was kidnapped from her home in Kibbutz Kfar Aza on October 7, managed to hide throughout the 471 days she was held captive that she served as a career Border Police fighter. Now these details have been approved for publication.

In addition to Damari, upon their release the IDF (Israel Defense Forces) allowed to be published that former hostages Bar Kuperstein and Ram Braslavski were in regular military service at the time of their abduction. Rom served in logistics for the Central Command, and Bar was a fighter in the IDF’s Nahal Infantry Brigade.

The two were on leave when they were taken captive.
