Jerusalem, 28 October, 2025 (TPS-IL) — The Jerusalem District Court rejected an appeal by Israeli fertility specialist Prof. David Bidar, confirming a Ministry of Health order barring him from performing fertility treatments for six months — the maximum period allowed under Israeli law. Authorities may consider extending the restriction while legal proceedings continue.

Bidar is accused of importing eggs from Georgia and returning embryos carrying hemophilia to patients in Israel. He faces charges including intentionally spreading disease, causing serious injury, fraud, and obstruction of justice.
