Jerusalem, 10 June, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Israel-based CollPlant Biotechnologies has expanded its partnership with Canada’s STEMCELL Technologies to use its plant-based human collagen (rhCollagen) not just for research but also for clinical trials and large-scale production. This move supports safer and more ethical alternatives to animal collagen.

Collagen is a protein that provides structure and strength to skin, bones, and connective tissues. It is used in medicine and cosmetics to help repair and regenerate tissues.

STEMCELL Technologies, which provides tools for stem cell and regenerative medicine research, will now use CollPlant’s collagen in more ways to help advance medical treatments and tissue repair.
