Jerusalem, 19 September, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Marking a milestone in bilateral ties, Israel and Tajikistan signed their first memorandum of understanding in the field of tourism during Tourism Minister Haim Katz’s visit to Dushanbe on Friday morning — the first time an Israeli minister has officially visited the Central Asian Muslim country.

Katz met with his Tajik counterpart, Jomkhonzoda Jamshad Jurhon, at the UN Tourism Investment Forum. The agreement aims to expand cooperation in tourism, complementing existing collaborations in agriculture and rural development.
