Israel Receives Remains of Hostage

Jerusalem, 27 October, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Israel has received, through the Red Cross, the coffin of a deceased abductee which was handed over to Israeli forces in the Gaza Strip, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office said.

Israeli soldiers will hold a brief ceremony, then deliver the coffin to Israel’s National Center for Forensic Medicine to confirm the identity and cause of death.

If confirmed, the number of bodies inside Gaza would be 12.
