Jerusalem, 16 October, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Israel’s Ministry of Religious Services will allocate a special budget to local authorities, with the aim of ensuring that “state” and “dignified” funerals are held for the deceased hostages whose remains are being returned to Israel, while meeting all the complex logistical needs involved in these large-scale events.

The budget will cover a full and extensive logistical response, including, among other things, ushering, security, amplification and seating equipment, shading solutions, and mobile services, required for mass burial events with many participants.
