Against the backdrop of the rising wave of antisemitism, Minister of Foreign Affairs Gideon Sa’ar convened this week in Jerusalem dozens of leaders of Jewish communities and Jewish organizations from around the world. The gathering was part of the “J-50” Forum, which Sa’ar founded in May at the International Conference Against Antisemitism held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Foreign Minister maintains ongoing contact with this forum.

From the remarks of Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar to the leaders of the Jewish communities and organizations:

“We stand for the right of every Jew to live in security anywhere. But today, I am calling on Jews in the United Kingdom, Australia, France, Canada, and Belgium to immigrate to Israel. I want you to know that I will continue to make this call. We have learned lessons from our history. I believe it is my duty to do so and to enable Jews to raise their children in a non-hostile environment, in their true home: the Land of Israel.”
