The Tel Aviv Customs and VAT Investigation Unit and the tax authority Center are conducting an investigation against Eliran Sofir, who is suspected of smuggling 30,000 packages containing Viagra disguised as clothing, in an air shipment via ben gurion Airport.

The suspect, owner of the “Nes Man-Woman Fashion” company, stated in his declaration to customs that the goods in his possession were clothing, but during the inspection of the goods at ben gurion Airport customs, it was discovered that the goods in question were smuggled Kamagra gel. The inspection found 30,000 packages containing 210,000 units of Kamagra gel, each 100 ml.

The value of the goods is estimated to be over 2.5 million NIS.

The Kamagra product is prohibited from import, marketing and use in Israel and endangers public safety.

Last week, the suspect was brought before the Rishon LeZion Magistrate’s Court and released under restrictive conditions. The suspect filed a request for a gag order, and the court approved it until Friday at 2:00 PM, and therefore his name was allowed to be published in public.

The investigation is ongoing.
