At the beginning of the war, Kardi was involved in holding hostage Romy Gonen in the Gaza Division area and at Shifa Hospital, and hostage Corporal Noa Marciano, may she rest in peace, in the Gaza City Division area, after her murder and until her body was recovered by the IDF. During the war, and even more so in the recent period, Kardi continued to try to advance terror plots against IDF forces and civilians of the State of Israel. The terrorist posed a threat to our forces and was eliminated in an airstrike. IDF forces, under the command of the Southern Command, are deployed in the area in accordance with the agreement and will continue to operate to remove any threat.
