Kilometer Long Hamas Terror Tunnel Destroyed in Gaza

IDF forces destroyed a kilometer-long Hamas terror tunnel in Gaza's Beit Hanoun area, uncovering "guest rooms" and explosives as part of ongoing clearance.

Jerusalem, 19 February, 2026 (TPS-IL) — The IDF (Israel Defense Forces) said its forces destroyed, about a month ago, an underground Hamas terror tunnel in Gaza in the Beit Hanoun area that contained several “guest rooms” and explosive devices. This came as part of the Israeli military’s continued efforts to clear the Yellow Line area in Gaza of terrorist infrastructures such as tunnels.

The tunnel was about a kilometer long.

The Yellow Line marks the areas where Israeli forces are continuing to operate under the Gaza ceasefire agreement: Israel controls everything to the east, north and south of the line and Hamas and other terrorists are prohibited from crossing it.
