Israel’s Beaches Open for Summer Season After Two Week Delay Due to War

Israel's beaches have officially opened for the summer season today, April 9, 2026, after a two-week delay caused by the war.

Jerusalem, 9 April, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israel’s Ministry of the Interior, in light of the change in the Home Front Command’s security guidelines, opened beaches across the country today, Thursday, except in those along the confrontation line with Lebanon on the coast, such as in Haifa.

The beaches were supposed to officially open in accordance with the law on March 25, but were shuttered until now due to the war with Iran.
