Jerusalem, 1 March, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israel’s Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar condemned Iran’s missile strike on Israel saying “The Iranian regime is savagely attacking Israel’s civilian population, just as it attacks its neighboring Arab countries.”
“This is yet another illustration of why it is impossible to allow this extremist regime to arm itself with imaginary numbers of ballistic missiles, whose range extends even to Europe, whose armies it has defined as terrorist organizations,” added Sa’ar. “This regime is dangerous to its own people, to the entire region, and to the entire world.”
Earlier on Sunday, he spoke with Israeli diplomats serving around the world, telling them that the goal of the war is to remove the “existential threats from the State of Israel in the long term,” and that “as long as the current regime exists in Iran, this goal cannot be achieved.”
“The murderous regime in Iran is still committed to the destruction of the State of Israel and has not changed anything in its strategy,” added Sa’ar. “Not in its intentions to achieve nuclear weapons, not in its intentions to achieve the massive production of long-range ballistic missiles, and not in its strategy to use terrorist branches around the State of Israel.”
