Team of CEOs to Establish Plan for Protection of Northern Communities
Israel's government has approved a CEO-led team to establish a comprehensive, budgeted plan for the protection of northern communities within 21 days.
Jerusalem, 26 April, 2026 (TPS-IL) — The government of Israel approved the establishment of a team of CEOs to complete the protection process in the northern communities.
The team is headed by the Prime Minister’s Office, with the participation of the Ministry of Defense, The Ministry of Construction and Housing, the Ministry of Finance, the Home Front Command, the National Security Council, and the Planning Directorate.
The team will formulate a detailed and budgeted plan within 21 days to complete and accelerate private, public and institutional protection for communities in the northern region and it will submit the plan for government approval.
The program will include:
1. Examining the existing protection measures in the various localities in the northern region.
2. Determining implementation mechanisms, recommendations on multi-year budgeting mechanisms for the plan.
3. Examining the integration of strengthening buildings against earthquakes.
4. Formulating immediate solutions for public protection.
5. Formulating steps to remove barriers that hinder the implementation of the plan.
