Israel Sees Sharp Drop in Applications for Asylum

Jerusalem, 29 June, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israel saw a sharp decline in asylum applications in the first half of 2026, where there were just 850 applications, compared to 5,500 in all of 2026. This constitutes almost a 70% decrease on an annual basis.
