$17 Million Allocated to Develop Tourism in Judea and Samaria
Israel's Ministry of Tourism commits $17 million to develop tourism and protect antiquities in Judea and Samaria, focusing on the "Land of the Bible.".
Jerusalem, 20 May, 2026 (TPS-IL) — The Ministry of Tourism will invest approximately 51 million Shekels ($17 million) in developing tourism “anchors” in Judea and Samaria and preventing the destruction of antiquities at heritage sites.
In addition, the ministry will allocate one million Shekels for a program to prevent the robbery and destruction of antiquities in the region.
The budget will be directed towards the promotion, development, establishment, upgrading and restoration of public tourism infrastructure, with an emphasis on the “Land of the Bible” and the Judean Desert, while integrating content and elements of smart digital tourism, in a way that will integrate with the heritage sites in the area.
