Shortly ago, as part of Air Force support for ground forces in southern Lebanon, a failed launch attempt of a surface-to-air missile was carried out towards an aircraft.

There was no damage and no casualties to our forces. In a swift closing of the circle, the Air Force attacked a suspect who fled the launch area immediately afterward on a motorcycle. Additionally, the Air Force intercepted suspected aerial targets identified in the area where IDF forces are operating in southern Lebanon. According to policy, no alerts were activated. The Air Force continues to operate in the skies of Lebanon and assist ground forces in offense and defense. In another incident earlier today (Tuesday), the Hezbollah terrorist organization launched several explosive drones towards IDF forces operating in southern Lebanon; there were no casualties to our forces.
