Massive Gaza Terror Tunnel Where Hadar Goldin Was Held Destroyed

The IDF has destroyed a massive 16km Gaza terror tunnel where Lt. Hadar Goldin's body was held after his 2014 death, also used as a Hamas command center.

Jerusalem, 29 June, 2026 (TPS-IL) — The IDF (Israel Defense Forces) reported that the underground route where Lt. Hadar Goldin’s body was held after he was Killed in combat in Gaza on August 1, 2014 has been destroyed.

Goldin’s body was returned for burial in Israel as part of the framework for the return of the October 7 abductees in November 2025.

Over the past three months, IDF engineering special forces operated to seal the tunnel, which was over 16 kilometers long, using over 30,000 cubic meters of concrete.

The tunnel had approximately 80 living quarters and served as a command-and-control center for Hamas.

It was located near the Philadelphia Corridor and passed under a residential neighborhood, mosques, kindergartens, clinics, a school, and even a UNRWA clinic.
