Israeli Soldier Neutralizes Terrorist Attempting to Steal Weapon Near Rimonim Junction

Jerusalem, 23 August, 2026 (TPS-IL) — The IDF (Israel Defense Forces) reported that a short time ago, a soldier was approached in an attempt to steal his weapon at Rimonim Junction, located outside the town of Rimonim just north of Jerusalem.
The soldier opened fire at the attacker, who was “neutralized,” the army said, without elaborating.
Additional IDF forces were dispatched to the scene.
