Israel Assessing Whether Hamas Military Wing Chief in Gaza Was Killed in IDF Strike

Israel assesses the potential death of Hamas military wing chief Izz al-Din al-Haddad in an IDF strike, a key planner of the Oct 7 attack, Prime Minister.

In a joint statement, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz announced that the IDF carried out a strike in Gaza targeting Izz al-Din al-Haddad, identified as the head of Hamas’ military wing and one of the alleged planners of the October 7 attack.

According to the statement, al-Haddad was responsible for the killing and abduction of Israeli civilians and soldiers, directed attacks against Israeli forces, and was involved in holding Israeli hostages in Gaza.

The statement added that Israel will continue acting “with strength and determination” against all those involved in the October 7 massacre, warning that “sooner or later, Israel will reach you.”
