Jerusalem, 6 July, 2026 (TPS-IL) — The Ministry of Defense, the IDF (Israel Defense Forces) Central Command, and the Civil Administration, together with additional partners, approved the regulating of the natural gas market in Judea and Samaria.
The order establishes for the First Time a comprehensive regulatory framework for the natural gas market in the area, and, said the Ministry, “constitutes a significant milestone in the development of energy infrastructure in Judea and Samaria.”
Among other things, it regulates the transmission and distribution of natural gas in Judea and Samaria, establishes licensing, supervision, and enforcement mechanisms, and provides the necessary legal infrastructure for the establishment of gas facilities, laying of transmission lines, and development of a regional supply network, while maintaining public and security interests.
