Jerusalem, 6 July, 2026 (TPS-IL) — The Israel Police reported that an undercover agent exposed a protection racket targeting business owners in Be’er Sheva and dozens of suspects were arrested.
During the agent’s activities, criminal elements from Bedouin communities allegedly approached him and demanded that he pay “protection fees” in amounts totaling tens of thousands of shekels.
Early Monday morning, massive Police forces conducted a widespread raid on the homes of the suspects across the country, and carried out the arrest.
