The message is clear – we do not respond to terror, we preempt it and defeat it.

Central Command chief met with local leaders to discuss preemptive counter-terror operations and ongoing cooperation to ensure resident security.

Commander of the Central Command, Major General Avi Bluth, met yesterday (Tuesday) with local authority heads in the center, along with the Commander of the Judea and Samaria Division, Brigadier General Kobi Heller, Commander of the “Gilad” Formation (96), Brigadier General Oren Simcha, Head of the Civil Administration, Brigadier General Hisham Ibrahim, Commander of the West Bank Border Police, Superintendent Nissim Guetta, Head of the ‘Keshet Tzvaim’ Directorate, Commander of the Home Front Command System and the Editor in the Command, and additional commanders.

During the meeting, the Command’s commander presented them with the operational situation and the IDF’s defensive and offensive activities in the sector, and praised the cooperation between the local authorities and the IDF, and strengthened them on their involvement in preventing nationalist crime incidents.

“When the IDF strikes the head of the octopus, the tentacles may lash out,” said the Commander of the Central Command, Major General Avi Bluth. “IDF soldiers, commanders, along with the security forces operating in the sector, work every day and thwart infrastructures that try to establish themselves, even with external guidance. The message is clear – we do not react to terror, we preempt it and defeat it.”

“The close cooperation with you – the council heads in the sector, is a central component in the ability to maintain the residents’ security,” he stated. “In all the layers characterizing the period, including joint operations to strengthen residents’ resilience, civil discipline, and complementary actions to law enforcement and order in the sector. In this campaign, there are no shortcuts, we are doing this together: coordination and initiative are the key.”
