Issaqi commanded for years the financial arm of the regime’s security forces as well as the military industries for the production of ballistic missiles and the regime’s repression mechanisms. Alongside this, Issaqi acted to provide funds intended to finance the regime’s terror proxies throughout the Middle East, primarily the Hezbollah terror organization and the Houthi terror regime. For years, the Revolutionary Guards and additional military bodies in Iran have been funded by enormous budgets originating from oil sales, bypassing international sanctions. The armed forces have established dedicated headquarters to manage oil sales, which constitute a central pillar in financing the Iranian regime’s military buildup and in carrying out terror operations worldwide. The IDF will continue to operate against the commanders and leaders of the Iranian terror regime wherever required.
