Forces of the Givati Brigade, under the command of the 98th Division, identified Hezbollah military activity earlier this week from the government hospital in Bint Jbeil in southern Lebanon.
In recent days, several terrorists who were observing from the hospital windows opened fire on our forces. Within a short time, the forces neutralized the terrorists. Additionally, approximately 20 terrorists were precisely eliminated in the hospital area to remove an immediate threat.
The forces that raided the hospital complex found a cache of weapons inside the hospital.
Hezbollah systematically and continuously used the hospital complex and its immediate surroundings for the terror organization’s military needs, in severe violation of international law. Among the uses made of the hospital complex:
* Transfer of weapons through the hospital complex
* Storage of weapons within the hospital complex
* Use of hospital facilities as observation posts, cover, and shelters for terrorists
