Jerusalem, 19 April, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israel’s Ministry of Health updated that, in accordance with the IDF’s (Israel Defense Forces) Home Front Command guidelines and the assessment of the situation after the ceasefire in Lebanon went into effect, all hospitals in the north of the country have been instructed to return from underground operations to above-ground operations.
In addition, and in accordance with the defense policy, all clinics are open to patients.
Hospitals and health insurance funds continue to maintain full readiness. Hospitals have been instructed to maintain the ability to return to underground operations within a few hours, as necessary.
The ministry is conducting ongoing situation assessments and is in continuous contact with all relevant parties, in order to ensure the continued provision of medical services while maintaining the safety of patients and staff.
