Israel Sees 1.1% Decline in Industrial Production

Israel's industrial production declined 1.1% in early 2026, though high-tech saw growth and export sales increased significantly.

Jerusalem, 31 May, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israel’s Central Bureau of Statistics released the data on industrial production of the manufacturing, mining and quarrying sectors: January – March 2026, which showed across the board declines.

January – March 2026, annualized trend data:

Industry, mining and quarrying:

A 1.1% decline in industrial production

A 1.2% decrease in salaried jobs

A 1.6% decrease in the number of working hours

A 0.7% Increase in revenue from sales to the domestic market at constant prices, 29.9% increase in revenue from sales to export at constant prices

Industry, without mining and quarrying and without high technology:

A 0.4% decrease in industrial production

High-tech industries:

A 0.7% increase in industrial production
