Jerusalem, 6 May, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israel’s Central Bureau of Statistics reported that in April 2026 there were 36,900 visitor arrivals to Israel (91.3% of which were by air), compared to 166,900 in April 2025. This was a 78% decrease year to year, despite the Passover holiday which fell over the first week of April, that can be attributed to the war with Iran and the cancelation of most flights to Israel.
In January – April 2026, 290,700 visitor arrivals were recorded in Israel, compared to 438,500 in the same period in 2025, a 34% decrease.
Of these, 35.4% were from the United States, 10.2% from France, 7.3% from the United Kingdom, and 5.5% from Russia.
