Jerusalem, 6 July, 2026 (TPS-IL) — As the funeral of Iranian supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei got underway in Tehran, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz vowed Israel would continue defending itself.
“The destroyer was destroyed,” Katz said. “Any Iranian leader who tries to promote plans to destroy Israel again will also be thwarted. The chants of ‘Death to Trump’ during the funeral are a disgrace and indicate the true nature of the ayatollah regime, beyond the attack of the caliphates and the smiles.”
Khamenei and other senior Iranian leaders were killed in an Israeli air strike in Tehran on Feb 28.
