Gaza Sees Surge in Humanitarian Aid Since Ceasefire Began, 600 Aid Trucks Enter Daily

Since the October 2025 ceasefire, Gaza has received over 2 million tons of food, with 600 aid trucks entering daily, significantly improving humanitarian.

Jerusalem, 19 August, 2026 (TPS-IL) — COGAT (Coordination of Government Activities in the Territories: Judea and Samaria and towards the Gaza Strip) reported on World Humanitarian Day, today, that More Than two million tons of food have entered the Gaza Strip, alongside a 72% decrease in prices and a more than 50% increase in the number of hospital beds, marking the scope of the humanitarian response since the ceasefire began.

Approximately 600 trucks enter Gaza daily, with 70-80% of the trucks carrying food. Today, 41 bakeries operated by international organizations are active in Gaza, producing more than three million pita breads per day, alongside dozens of local bakeries.

Since the ceasefire began in October 2025, the IDF (Israel Defense Forces) has continued facilitating the entry of humanitarian aid and goods into Gaza, in coordination with the UN and international organizations.
