Netanyahu Appoints Brigadier General Guy Marchisano His New Military Secretary
Prime Minister Netanyahu has appointed Brigadier General Guy Marchisano as his new Military Secretary, who will be promoted to Major General.
Jerusalem, 4 June, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Prime Minister Netanyahu announced his decision to appoint Brigadier General Guy Marchisano as his military secretary.
Marchisano will be promoted to the rank of major general and will replace Major General Roman Goffman, who was appointed by the Prime Minister to head the Mossad.
He served as commander of the IDF’s (Israel Defense Forces) 405th Battalion, Artillery Group, as commander of the 209th Fire Brigade, as commander of the 215th Fire Brigade, as head of the planning department in the ground arm, and as chief of staff of the Northern Command.
In his last position, Marchisano served as the Military Secretary to the Minister of Defense.
