Weapons and ammunition were located during an operational activity in Ramla two suspects were arrested. Police officers from the Ramla station and Border Police fighters from the Central District carried out a covert and targeted operational activity this evening.

During the operation, forces succeeded in uncovering a cell of city residents, who are suspected of being on their way to carry out an immediate assassination, as part of an ongoing blood feud between families. With the transition to the overt phase, forces raided a residential compound, arrested two local brothers, a minor and an adult, and seized a Kalashnikov rifle, a handgun, magazines, and a large quantity of military ammunition. All weapons were transferred for further evidence processing at the forensic laboratories of the Israel Police. The Commander of the Central District, Superintendent Amir Cohen, addressed the concentration of efforts in the fight against crime in a situation assessment: “We will continue to act with determination against criminal terrorism and to prosecute every criminal who chooses to go out and murder in the name of a feud.”
