One Arrested After Illegal Weapons Seized in Israeli Bedouin Village

Jerusalem, 20 August, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Security forces seized an M-16 rifle, a loaded pistol and two M-16 cartridges in the Bedouin village of Aroer in the Negev, the Israel Police said on Thursday.

One man was arrested.

The police operation is part of a wider crackdown on weapons trafficking and violent crime in Bedouin communities.
